I just can’t get away from my Celtic heritage. Now, I’ve tied the Monster Mash Halloween song into it all! Weird, huh? Find out about the connection below.
To misquote Andy Griffith…what it was, was Halloween. I was putting some things together for a Halloween freebie and I came across the Halloween song Monster Mash. The kicker for me was that it was done by two of my favorite Celtic artists, Marc Gunn and Andrew McKee (formerly of Brobdingnagian Bards.)
If you’re a long time reader, you are probably familiar with the things I’ve written about my Scots-Irish heritage. Well, when I found out that Halloween was partially based on ancient Celtic traditions, I was tickled pink. But then to find one of my favorite Halloween songs with yet another Celtic link, that was just the icing on the cake! So enough about the background and on with the song.
